Every great occasion of celebration in our journey to smash Motor Neurone Disease must necessarily be tinged with sadness when we lose another champion; today we say a loving farewell to John Foster, whose battle ended peacefully this morning.
John swam with us last year at the first London City Swim and was to swim this year, but as he weakened it became obvious that he wouldn’t be able to. John was a big supporter of London City Swim, liking every post we made and giving his whole-hearted support to what we are doing, but the irresistible force of Motor Neurone Disease is such that today John closed his eyes for the last time.
Those who knew John will miss him, those who knew of him will be inspired by him and all of us will continue the fight at LCS 19, 20 and beyond, until we find a cure.
Farewell John. Rest easy.
Together lets help to find a cure for MND. Put your name down today to swim with us in 2019.
